LODAC Developing New Anti-Bullying Curriculum
LODAC is currently researching and reviewing research-based materials for curbing aggressive behavior, bullying and family violence to create and organized program addressing all these issues.

Our goal is to adopt or create a program to assist schools in implementing school-wide bullying prevention programs by August 2011. The program will be in keeping with The Georgia Bullying Law O.C.G.A. 20-2-751.4 and with the GaDOE Policy for Prohibiting Bullying, Harassment and Intimidation.

The program will begin with a primary focus on elementary and middle schools. LODAC will partner with school counselors to implement a program tailored specifically for their schools needs.

Lowndes Drug Action Council, Inc. Launches Website
LODAC began as an idea in March 1987 when four local attorneys decided to take action by approaching the Valdosta Bar Association to create a Drug Task Force. Today it provides a variety of services to help improve the lives of those in the Lowndes-Valdosta community.

LODAC has now launched a website in order to better connect with the community and provide information to the public. We will be constantly expanding and updating in order to better inform you!
